Welcome PA Students
P.A. Students: Welcome--as I learn to work this blogging business.
Your homework (should you accept) is to:
1. Watch the 1st video on the History of the English Language. The 2nd video on the subject you might want to follow, also.
2. Memorize at least 5 lines of any part of Canterbury Tales.
3. Choose any topic on what we have discussed or alluded to in our first class. Possible subjects might include: The Hundred Years War, The Great or Black Plague, Vikings in Britain, King Alfred, fasinating individual) Life of Chaucer, Influence of Canterbury Tales, Who is Shakespeare, The Battle of Hastings, William the Conqueror, Queen Elizabeth, Celts of Europe, Life in the Middle Ages, Angle-Saxons, The early Brits ...anything which suits your fancy on any of the topics pertaining to the huge time frame and era we discussed in class, Britain until the time of Shakespeare=this is where we stopped.
